Overview

Version 1.0.0 is the first public release of Age Calculator by Vektosys. This release delivers a complete date and age toolkit that runs entirely in the browser, with no signup, no server-side calculation storage, and a design focused on speed, clarity, and privacy.

New tools

  • Age Calculator — Calculate exact age in years, months, days, hours, and more. Optional live counter, milestone highlights, and confetti on birthdays.
  • Date Difference — Measure the span between two dates including weeks, months, and business-day options.
  • Add / Subtract Dates — Shift dates forward or backward by days, weeks, months, or years.
  • Time Calculator — Work with time-of-day differences and combined date-time math.
  • Countdown — Track time remaining until birthdays, anniversaries, or custom events.
  • Leap Year Checker — Instantly verify whether a year is a leap year.
  • Day of Week — Find the weekday for any calendar date.
  • Week Number — ISO week number lookup for any date.
  • Calendar Viewer — Browse months with date highlighting.
  • Timestamp Converter — Convert Unix timestamps to readable dates and back.
  • Date Formatter — Output dates in common presentation formats.

Export and sharing

Calculator results can be copied to the clipboard, printed, downloaded as plain text or PDF, or shared through the Web Share API where supported. All export actions are initiated on your device; we do not receive exported content.

Preferences and storage

  • Theme: light, dark, or match system appearance
  • Display options: milliseconds visibility, date format, motion/confetti toggles
  • Recent calculation summaries stored in localStorage (up to 12 entries)
  • Cookie consent choice persisted locally

Advertising and cookies

Optional third-party advertising (such as Google AdSense) may be enabled with user consent via the cookie banner. Essential localStorage is used regardless of ad consent for theme and site preferences.

Known limitations at launch

  • Results are informational only—not suitable for legal or official age verification (see Disclaimer)
  • Native date input appearance varies by browser and operating system
  • Offline support depends on prior caching; first visit requires network connectivity
  • Third-party ad embeds may not meet the same accessibility bar as core tools

Upgrade notes

This is the first release. No migration steps are required. Clearing browser site data resets preferences and recent calculations.
